Eternal Rhyme et Reason favorite Lana Del Rey covered Bobby Vinton’s “Blue Velvet” for a David Lynch -inspired advert for Swedish über retailer H&M. It’s as dark and dreamy as any of her own material. Check it out below: How can we get our hands on the full version?! UPDATE: Listen to the cover in full! (Image via mtvhive.com; Photography by Rebecca Smeyne) The face you see Caroline Polachek, of Chairlift, making in the above photo is pretty much the same face I made at seeing her hair. Minus the clapping. She debuted this ombré-skunk-striped number at a House of Vans concert. What the fuck? I didn’t think the Rhyme et Reason favorite could do wrong until now. I’m shaken, you guys. Shaken. Continue reading Have You Seen Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek’s Hair?!

Why do I care? Continue reading Miley Cyrus Debuts Terrible Haircut, We Laugh
(Image from littlemonsters.com) Lady Gaga in a gown by Marc Jacobs looks an awful lot like Nicki Minaj on her September cover for Vogue. That or a troll doll… This is the 2nd time Gaga has been a Vogue cover story and I much prefer the former. What is this?! Check out the other photo Gaga leaked on her own social media network/site: I’m no Anna Wintour, but i think this look would have made for a more striking cover. The hat is by milliner Stephen Jones. Mexico City artist Jovan Israel (whom we adore) just posted his amazing illustration of Chavela Vargas to his blog Fashionably Stupid. En inglés the caption reads “Love does not exist, it is an invention on drunken nights.” Chavela was purported to have said this. ¡Adiós Chavela!
