“Fire Ant”- Alex Winston

Detroit-bred, NYC-based singer Alex Winston released her debut album King Con in late March. To date the record has received relatively little fanfare for such a big voice and presence–which is a real shame because it is excellent!   I already posted the video for “Sister Wife”–a standout track–and “Velvet Elvis”–which was on our best of 2011 list way back in December–because Winston has a knack for making videos as irreverent as her delightfully off-putting songs.
