Hideo Kojima brings back Big Boss for another installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise, this time it’s Ground Zeroes. The game seemingly takes place immediately after the events of MGS: Peace Walker, but the big story here is how MGS:GZ looks. The gameplay trailer was shown this year at PAX, the trailer is a bit long, but it is technically astounding.
The graphics are practically photorealistic, the animation is amazing and the most phenomenal part is that this tech demo is compatible with current gen consoles. That means that the FOX engine can crank this kind of realism with today’s PS3 or Xbox 360, so why would we need to move on to the next-gen consoles when we’re only now getting to this level of graphics and animation?
