What is Google Play?

Google Play is the rebranding effort of Google to combine Google Books, Music, Apps and Games, and Movies. It’s basically Google’s iTunes. Everything is connected to the cloud which means that as long as you have the app installed on, you can download the book/movie/app/music that you already bought.

Google sells MP3s while iTunes sells DRM protected songs. You can even give your friends a free listen on a song before they purchase it. Google is trying to tie everything together and include it in Google+. So far, it’s not doing much for it. Overall, it’s a freer platform to help you get the most out of what you want and, hopefully, it’s at a cheaper price.

Google Play is your one-stop shop for all your favorite entertainment. With over 450,000 apps, millions of songs and books, and thousands of movies, Google Play has something for everyone. Before you decide what you want, sample a song or book for free, view app ratings, reviews, and screenshots, or watch a movie trailer. Google Play is a more connected, powerful experience.

Google Play holds all your favorite entertainment.
