AdBlock becomes CatBlock

At first I thought that FaceBook was pulling a prank for April Fool’s Day, when really it was something much more deeprooted into my browser. Adblock really did a good job sneaking this in, making it seem like every website was just posting random pictures of cats, as if they had all been in on it together.

I hardly even noticed that the very icon for Adblock in the upper right hand corner had changed from a hand to a paw, also giving the option to ‘paws’ adblock if you wanted to turn it off, and ‘unpaws’ to turn it back on.

This was the best joke today by far, especially the explanation given by how AdBlock suddenly became CatBlock. DeviantArt did something in a similar vein, depicting deviations as some sort of Cat Overlord that took over the site and offered factoids about cats. I wish more sites had cat based jokes this year, that would be some great coordination.
