The Office embraces YOLO

Our favorite paper company is back and there have been some shake-ups since we last saw our 9 to 5 crew. Kelly has left the office and moved with her fiancee to Miami, Ohio. Ryan has also left to move to Miami, Ohio claiming that it’s the next Silicon Valley and that it’s going to be huge. Not the first time B.J. Novak has left the show, but I wonder if he’ll eventually be back. Mindy Kaling is starting her new show The Mindy Project, which I already love.

But now we have two new guys, though that won’t fill the place in my heart where Ryan and Kelly used to be. Pete and Clark join the crew and they’re okay enough to fit in. Andy returns from a trip to the mountains to find that Nelly (Catherine Tate) is still working in the office and quickly resolves to make her life a living hell in order to get her to quit.

Jim and Pam seem to have settled into their lifestyle routine, but Jim opts in on a friend’s business venture. Dwight ends up bleeding about halfway through the episode (as expected) when he loses a fight to a rope quite spectacularly–but then decides to ride a bike along a tightrope to prove he’s awesome. #YOLO.

I feel good about this season, though at the same time I can see that things may be winding down in Scranton. If this isn’t the last season then I think they only have one more season they might be able to get away with. Either that or wrap it up in a movie.
