People Get Ready’s song “Middle Name” is a nice indie track. It’s not especially special to me, despite some of the members working with David Byrne and Yeasayer. Perhaps I’m insanely wrong and they blow us out of the water? I hope so. They sound vaguely like Ra Ra Riot and like a number of electro-pop bands that you’ve probably heard before. Why am I posting it? Because it has promise. This is a band I’m pulling for.

They’re based in Brooklyn, NY and their album Brassland comes out on October 23.
